New navigation system gives drivers eco-friendly options

To create this navigation system, Hyundai teamed with NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of maps, traffic and location data enabling navigation, location-based services and mobile advertising around the world. Hyundai's system will use NAVTEQ's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) attributes and will find the routes which minimize fuel consumption.

The system was showcased in the all-new Hyundai Veloster in Geneva. The Veloster is our cutting-edge coupe that boasts a three-door design which allows for the functionality of a hatchback, while also incorporating an additional passenger-side door. The Miramar Hyundai Veloster is scheduled to arrive later this year.

Allan Rushforth of Hyundai Motor Europe says "It is rare for this type of 'green routing' option to be available in C-segment vehicles but we are looking to exploit any opportunity which encourages responsible driving and lowers CO2 emissions."
