Holy priests have been lackluster at the starts of expansions for a while now just because their regen just isn't all that great and disc is behind this expansion because of the rapture overhaul; Being the last spec who could get away with exclusively stacking int. Priest - holy is awesome at aoe healing, plus the massive amount of tools for making wow gold, played it since vanilla, too. Disc, not so good, sadly.
Shaman is massively fun and strong (despite weakest geared toon ). Topping meters is no prob.

Hunters are the fastest class to level outside of dungeons. Warriors or Paladins would be faster to just run dungeons up to 85 as a tank.
