The Power of Wall-Mounted TV Screens

We all know (or at least most of us do) what's coming up this weekend: the Super Bowl, one of the biggest American sporting events of the year.

Charleston, AK (prHWY.com) November 26, 2012 - And chances are many of us will be going out to watch the game, whether it's to the friend's house that has the TV that's three times the size of yours or out to the local bar to watch the game while eating and drinking. In just about every bar out there, from the small local pub to the massive bar at the Hard Rock Café, there's a selection of wall mounted television screens on display. Why is that? I'm sure we can think of a few accurate reasons as to why right off of the tops of our heads, but let's lay it down clearly. Wall mounted brackets are a fantastic way to display a screen in so many different situations like schools, hospital waiting rooms, stores, and more. Using a bar as our setting, let's put some of these innovations into context so we can see the real life benefits of these brackets.

Establishments can display large screens while saving floor space.

In public spaces where people are constantly moving around it just makes more sense for a large screen to be hung on a wall than put on a stand on the floor. The wall mounting will keep the screen out of the way of most damage and stop patrons from walking into it (an important factor especially in a bar - I make no guarantees, however, if a fight breaks out and bottles start getting thrown around). By elevating your screen, you'll free up floor space for more tables or booths, displays for top shelf liquors, and similar things. And just because you're elevating your screen, doesn't mean that https://vimeo.com/54259193 you have to relegate yourself to a smaller, lightweight television. There are wall mounts out there that can securely support flat panels of over 60 inches wide and weighing nearly 250 pounds, which is large enough that most people in the bar will be able to experience the big game and see it quite clearly.

Some styles have angling mounts and arms to get that best viewing angle.

While some spaces have wonderfully high twelve-foot ceilings that provide plenty of room for a display, there are many places that aren't that lucky. This is where the articulating arms and the tilt bracket models come in. With a tilt bracket you can angle the screen downwards, upwards, to the side, and so on in order to find the best viewing position for your customers. An articulating arm model will allow you to pull the screen a ways off the wall while still keeping it supported from a good height and angled towards your customers. The articulating designs are perfect if you want to put a screen in the corner of a room but aren't sure how to deal with the angles where the two walls meet.

Want to display two screens on one stand? Wall mounts can help with that too.

You get double the screens in one single stand. Aside from saving even more wall space by having one central bracket, you can use these mounts to angle the screens in different directions. Place the mount itself in the middle of the bar, and then arrange the screens to go in opposite ways to cover a wider range of patrons. Another option is to use a ceiling mounted bracket that can hold two screens. Granted, mounts like this are probably seen more often in places like airports or train stations, but they could be equally as useful in a bar to provide entertainment to a large crowd spread throughout the room.

You'll entertain your customers.

Okay, this point is pretty much a given in a bar situation. Beer + wide screen TV + fresh cooked munchies = good times and people spending more money throughout the evening (always an important factor for business owners). But providing entertainment in other places aside from pubs, such as a doctor's waiting room, a train station lounge, and so on will help to keep people calm and occupied while waiting. It's also a great way to keep patrons informed by keeping news stations on constant rotation, updating them about current events, weather, and more.
