Meluha the Fern Ecotel, Powai, Mumbai has won the coveted award for the Best Environmentally Friendly Hotel -2012 at the 8th Hospitality India & Explore the world Annual International Awards ceremony, held in New Delhi on November 21st 2012.

mumbai, India (prHWY.com) November 26, 2012 - Meluha the Fern Ecotel, Powai, Mumbai has won the coveted award for the Best Environmentally Friendly Hotel -2012 at the 8th Hospitality India & Explore the world Annual International Awards ceremony, held in New Delhi on November 21st 2012.

Currently in its 8th edition, this year's awards saw a national representation of participating hotels and Meluha the Fern Ecotel Mumbai emerged ahead of all other hotels competing within this category.

Shri Salman Khurshid Hon'ble Minister of External Affairs Govt. of India and Shri TKA Nair-IAS Advisor to the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India presented the award to Meluha The Fern ecotel Mumbai at New Delhi.

Receiving the award at the event was Punish. B. Sharma, the A.G.M. of the Meluha the Fern ecotel Mumbai, the dynamic chief spear heading all green projects at the hotel. Sharing his excitement he said, "It's a great recognition of our efforts, it's highly motivating and encouraging as the team continues to take that extra step and succeed in differentiating themselves from good hotel to great ecotel reinforcing our belief that we are on the right path for being one of the worlds best Green hotels ".

Many international high profile special dignitaries were in attendance like H.E. Ambassador Khaled El Bakly Ambassador of Egypt to India, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Burak Akcapar Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in India and H.E. Ambassador Sami Mohammad Al-Sulaiman Ambassador of the State of Kuwait.
