Hard Work: Becky James's Secret To Her Glasgow Success
Welsh cyclist Becky James admitted that hard work and proper training were her secrets when she got the gold medal during the world cup in Glasgow.

"I didn't really know what to expect, it was such a high-performance field that was racing, to come away with two medals and a PB in the team sprint with Jess and just to be able to get the chance to race with Jess. It was great to get racing with her again and I'm really chuffed with my performances." She said in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.
James cycling career shines when she won the silver and bronze medal in the 2010 Commonwealth games in Delhi.
According to James, her absence in the London Olympics gave her more time to practice.
"While they were at the Olympics I did a lot of training with the boys, that sort of brought my performance on quite a lot," she said.
James was not able to join the Olympics due to illness and injury.
She suffered from food positioning before the World Cup at Kazakhstan in November last year.
Aside from that, she also had an Achilles injury in December 2011 before her appendix was removed last January 2012.
With that, Varnish had to team up with gold medallist Victoria Pendleton for the London Games.
James admitted that she was really upset when she found out that she cannot compete for the London Olympics.
"Then, after I accepted it, I just got back into training and while watching the Olympics it was motivating my training and me thinking just how much I want to be there one day," she said.
She added that her constant training pushed her to strive harder just to obtain a good performance.
"So it was probably one of the most frustrating times of my life to see everyone do so well but it was just inspiring really."
With her success in the World Cup, James said that she is determined to establish herself as a key member of the Britain track cycling team.
"Hopefully over the next few months up to the world championships we'll [James and Varnish] be riding together and... trying to perfect our performance, so hopefully it will get us together that little bit more,"
The Welsh star will be flying to Australia to prepare for the World Championship to be held at Minsk in February next year.
"It should be a good bit of nice warm weather and that will help my training right up until 23 December, and I'll be home for Christmas then."
