Los Anageles, CA (prHWY.com) November 29, 2012 - The enormity of the destruction of six million Jews in a span of less than a decade is a challenge for most to conceptualize. With the onset of World War II, all Slovakian Jews found themselves at risk of losing their lives. Flight for Life is a true story of a child survivor, Louis Gross, living in a small Slovakian town and his journey to survive the holocaust.

Early in 1943 there was no pressure on the part of the Germans for an immediate liquidation of the Jews in Slovakia. Greed for Jewish properties and wealth however, coupled with old inbred anti-Semitism, governed anti Jewish policy. The stage for deporting of Jews to extermination camps was set.

Lou was born into a privileged life. His carefree life was torn apart forever with the onset of selective transports. He stood in his doorway and watched as soldiers prodded and poked the town elders on the way to the train station that would take them to labor camps and ultimately to Auschwitz.

This book follows the journey of a six year old boy and his family, fleeing the threat of daily annihilation, his ultimate survival of the Holocaust, and its impact on his life's journey. Lou's is a story of survival and of a childhood lost.

Flight for Life is a simple and intriguing story with all the elements that a book must have that speaks about the strength of the human spirit. The writer unfolds the story in a subtle manner and keeps the reader wanting for more with each chapter. The reader is totally enmeshed in experiencing the emotional states of the daily encounters and dangers of the fragile existence of a family on the run. The child's response to normal developmental pressures and the mitigating of life threatening circumstances is just some of the intrigue presented.

Lou's comprehensive description of the memory of the holocaust experience is a psychological study on child development under extra ordinary circumstances. His survival with minimal psychological damage is a testament to his brave loving mother and father to whom he aptly dedicates his book.

"Flight for Life" has been available in paperback print and is still available in print. But now ePrintedBooks Books & More Store is happy to announce the book is now available in eBook format in our bookstore.

"Flight for Life" is a brilliant story that you will love reading. It is almost like watching a thrilling movie.
