Nikki Sixx and Courtney Bingham Engaged, Model Actress Shows Off Gigantic Sparkler
Over-the-top celebrity engagements are something people usually look forward to. Well, Courtney Bingham has joined the crew by showing off a 6 carat diamond ring that can rival the likes given to some of Tinsel Town's famous personalities.
The proposal was done during their holiday to the isle of St. Barts in the Caribbean. Nikki started it with a leisurely stroll along the beach and ended with a dinner, set on a tent strewn with rose petals, where he got down on one knee.
The happy couple announced on Facebook, "When Courtney and I were in St Bart's I popped the question and she said YES. We would like to thank everybody who has been tweeting and posting online us congratulations....Both of us and our families are beyond happy."
And later on, the musician himself tweeted, "CBingham and I wanna thank you all for the beautiful congratulations on our engagement. We're beyond happy and in love."
The former model turned actress has been busy producing an Underground comedy featuring Adrian Brody, Lindsay Lohan, Rob Schneider, and Michelle Rodriguez as well as running a do-it-yourself guide website.
No one can fault her for spending some time strolling along Grove shopping centre on Tuesday and showing off her huge new bling.
Courtney, 27, was seen wearing her six carat diamond engagement ring while shopping for new clothes. The pear-cut sparkler is seen to be of high quality and is set in a simple band.
It seems that there is a growing trend among celebrities these days.
Just this year, Angelina Jolie flashed the world with her enormous $250,000 oblong-shaped rock set on a thick-ribbed band.
This was followed by Jennifer Anniston's staggering eight-carat diamond ring given to her by fiancé Justin Theroux.
And of course, who could forget Kim Kardashian's 20.5 carat rock from now ex-husband Kris Humphries?
It makes you wonder what celebrities will come up to next. Well, there is little doubt that the world will be keeping watch.
