Spelthorne has a number of attractions. To begin with we have the Thames. History says that Spelthorne has been populated since the ice ages and when the river assumed its current course the Romans formed a small town near the river which today is known as Staines-upon-Thames. A boat ride in the river is simply majestic and a walk along its banks is a magnificent experience.

As mentioned by the Roman there is a great history of the place. One that reflects in the buildings that are there. That is why historical and cultural walks in Spelthorne are great. The country air is greatly rejuvenating and the sights are great.

The borough of Spelthorne is consisted of a number of quaint and beautiful towns and villages. There is Staines-upon-Thames, Shepperton, Ashford, Laleham, Sunbury and Stanwell.

Although it can be visited any time of the year Spellthorne is particularly thronging with crowds in summers. There is the Shepperton village fair, Desborough sailing club, Sunbury Cricket Club Summer, Ashford Art Club painting demonstrations and Music in the Walled Garden .
