Leigh Sprague Celebrates 12 Years of Successful Career

Leigh Sprague announces his twelfth year of a successful career in international law, corporate transactions and high-tech.

Fort Atkinson, WI (prHWY.com) November 30, 2012 - Leigh Sprague is pleased to announce that he is currently celebrating his twelfth year as a professional attorney and consultant in commercial transactions, hi-tech licensing and content, international corporate law. Though Leigh Sprague got his start with Coudert Brothers as an Associate in 1999, he considers the "hard launch" of his career to be in 2001 when he took a position at Dewey & LeBoeuf as a Senior Associate.

"Those were busy days," says Leigh Sprague, reminiscing about his time with the global corporate law firm. "I remember 80 hour weeks, lots of flights, and, of course, drafting endless agreements. It wasn't easy, but I learned more in those five years than most people learn in their careers."

Leigh Sprague worked as a Senior Associate at Dewey & LeBoeuf (then LeBoeuf, Lamb, Grene & MacRae) from 2001 to 2005. During that time, Leigh Sprague led numerous complex transactions on behalf of his clients, including many cross-border mergers and acquisitions and complex commercial transactions. He also prepared, implemented, and monitored various corporate governance programs, policies, and procedures. Leigh Sprague also prepared and filed SEC reports and developed efficiency- and consistency-enhancing measures with Dewey & LeBoeuf.

"But, like many attorneys, I enjoyed working with my clients but was interested in becoming more closely involved in their commercial and business activities," says Leigh Sprague. As a result, in June 2005, Leigh Sprague moved 'in house' and began working as General Counsel for CTC Media, a NASDAQ-listed content and media company that was quickly growing and planning a number of major initiatives, including international expansion and an IPO.

In addition to working in a fast paced environment, although CTC Media was a U.S. company, Leigh Sprague, along with other top executives was based in Moscow, Russia. "That was a really exciting time in my life," says Leigh Sprague. "I had already lived in Moscow off and on for several years. But, living there while working in a professional role was an exciting challenge, presenting me with opportunities I would have only received at much more senior levels in New York. It was definitely a career highlight for me."

"While I was in Moscow," says Leigh Sprague, "I took a job at Rusal as Director of Development. That was in May 2007. I loved that job - I really did. But, in April 2011, I decided it was time for me to return to the United States. It was a much-needed change."

Today, Leigh Sprague is a consultant for Decision Insight Information Group, leading software and data providers. "I'm very happy right now," says Leigh Sprague. "It's a great place to be when celebrating twelve years of a career!"
