Jason Thomas Frothingham Celebrates 9 Years in Georgia

Jason Thomas Frothingham celebrates nine years since he moved from Long Island, New York to Georgia.

Atlanta, GA (prHWY.com) December 6, 2012 - Jason Thomas Frothingham is pleased to announce that he is currently celebrating nine years since he moved from Long Island, New York to the state of Georgia. For Frothingham, the transition from the water-encapsulated northeast neighborhood to the country's thirteenth state has been marked with challenges, but largely positive.

When Jason Thomas Frothingham moved to Georgia in 2003 as a nine-year old, he deeply missed all the New York essentials he had come to love throughout childhood: the New York Giants football team, Yankees baseball, and, of course, the food that can't be found anywhere else in the world.

Today, Jason Thomas Frothingham still misses those New York City staples. But he's found that Georgia has offered him plenty of advantages, too. Jason Thomas Frothingham recently graduated from North Gwinnett High School (May 2012) where he was a member of the DECA, student council member, band member, and athlete on the Cross Country team.

Jason Thomas Frothingham has wasted no time in assimilating himself into the southern state. "If there's one thing I still can't get used to," said Jason Thomas Frothingham, "it's the Georgia accent. It's not like the general 'Southern' accent. It's something totally unique. But I love my Georgia friends despite the strange accent," he joked.

Accents and achievements aside, there's one huge thing Georgia had to offer for this hard working transplant: the Hope Scholarship. The scholarship, funded by the state lottery, provides undergraduate education expenses for students who make good grades and perform well in school.

"I was really excited to learn about the Hope Scholarship sometime back in middle school," said Jason Thomas Frothingham. "I decided that when I started at North Gwinnett, I was going to put all of my effort into landing a Hope Scholarship - something I'm proud to say I accomplished."

In addition to excelling academically in Georgia, Jason Thomas Frothingham has found that professional opportunities in the southern state have been good for him as well. Jason Thomas Frothingham was recently recognized by his employer for his outstanding customer service. He welcomes questions and comments about his move from Long Island to Georgia.
