New UK Theme Park

New York, NY (prHWY.com) December 19, 2012 - Family fun coming to the UK to rival Disneyland! Hollywood's Paramount Pictures is planning to open a new theme park in the UK by 2018. The park will be Europe's largets theme park located in Kent, UK. The Theme park will be operated by Paramount Parks and projected to cost about £2bn once completed.

Families in the south east of England have ristricted access to theme parks, as Chessington or Alton towers are not easily accessible, so the nearest alternative is the Disney Resort in Paris.

Chris Townsend, London 2012 commercial director was appointed to raise and manage LRCH funds and investments in preparing for the the final go ahead.

The theme park will be located in Ebbsfleet, Kent near the highspeed train line that connects passengers from central London to Ebbsfleet in 17 minutes and trains from Europe connect via the channel tunnel at Ebbsfleet International station.

Recently a Kent airport announced flights by KLM to Amsterdam, providing access to international tourists via the Kent airports, service will begin in 2013.

Ebbsfleet is near 2 major motorways and highspeed railway. The 4 lanes motorways M25 and M2 are critical in handling traffic going to the Theme Park.

Rail passengers from Europe can also take the train and can easily access the theme park, which will be prime competition for 21 year old Disneyland Paris.

Developing the London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH) theme park is expected to provide thousands of UK jobs and other investments such as travel will help GDP growth resulting from tourism. Providing a destination that tourists can visit, will encourage tourism and a resort will contain it. Local support has high and a lot of interest from potential investors has given the project a green-light.

The London 2012 commercial director will lead the 872 acre Paramount Pictures theme park though to completion and is expected to be Europe's largest indoor water park and rides, live music venues, open theaters, fun fairs, games, attractions, cinemas, restaurants, event space and hotels overlooking the riverside.
