The Answer to the Cure for Depression Might be Taking Part in a Galapagos Tour
People seeking answers to common health problems often turn to alternative medicine. People feel there is no longer a need to turn to big pharmaceutical companies, and instead want to cure ailments naturally.

"We have been looking for a cure to depression for a number of years", explained Dr. Travis Martin, a medical expert in depression and mental illness. "Depression is hard to cure alternatively because it often a chemical imbalance in the brain, but I may have found a solution. That solution is taking part in a Galapagos tour."
Dr. Travis Martin noticed that many of his patients who returned from a tour of the Galapagos Islands tended to report fewer symptoms of depression. He thought that this might be a result of them taking a relaxing vacation, but upon further research believes there could be more to the story.
"I discovered during my research that the location of the Galapagos tour could have had an impact on the body", explained Dr. Martin. "I think that these individuals who took part in the tour were able to realign their body's energy flow and almost 'cure' the depression, or at least lower the number of symptoms that they had as a result of the depression."
Part of his research included sending several different groups of people on a Galapagos tour. Dr. Travis sent all types of patients who reported several different symptoms of depression. The results of this impromptu experiment were surprising.
"Almost all of my patients reported fewer symptoms from taking this trip", explained Dr. Travis. "I followed up with each patient every month for eight months and they still reported fewer depression symptoms. I was amazed."
Dr. Travis plans on conducting more research on this finding, but has released his preliminary results on his blog. The release of the blog has sparked a huge interest in current Galapagos tours.
"I have received at least 40 calls a week expressing interest in a Galapagos tour", said Paige Highland, a travel agent. "Before I had to convince people to go on this wonderful tour because it wasn't something people thought of for a vacation. Now, I've got several tours booked solid for most of 2013. It really is amazing."
