Rare Jackson Firebird Replica!!!

Taiwan, Taiwan (prHWY.com) December 19, 2012 - I was in love with this Jackson Firebird Replica guitar from day one. The color was really cool and every time I threw that strap over my shoulder this guitar just felt like it was built for me. I played it for a couple years bone stock until the electronics started to fail. It was then I decided that if I was going to keep this one I was going to bring this guitar to a state where she would be an incredible instrument in both look, sound, feel, and playability.
I have a buddy who made me a replacement black pickguard and truss rod cover with gold trim, crest and Greco logo. I pulled out the minibuckers and routed the body for full size humbuckers. A black DiMarzio Air Zone in the Bridge position and an Air Norton in the neck. The old pots, jack and 3 way switch came out and DiMarzio new replacements went in. She got new wiring top to bottom and I shielded the inner cavity. The original bridge and tailpiece were swapped out with new Gotoh replacements in black.

At the other end I swapped out the decaying nut with a new black graphite one; and the stock tuners were swapped out to black sealed Gotoh 16:1 ratio in-line tuners. I have since swapped the Gotoh tuners out for Steinberger gearless tuners but they are not pictured.

The last little touch I felt gave it character is the lady on the eightball decal which to me just brings this guitar all the way home. Below are some before and after photos of this gorgeous guitar. This set neck beauty is feather light, plays like a dream, and is one of my most cherished guitars.
