Movie Review: 'Rise Of The Guardians' recreates magical folklore
Rise From the Guardians is first time director Peter Ramsey's undertake William Joyce's book series - "Guardians of Childhood" and the short film "The Man within the Moon".

Three hundred years later approximately, the film picks up towards the top of the world exactly where ’Santa’ like North (Alec Baldwin) is busy preparing presents for Christmas, as he sees that the evil boogeyman Pitch (Jude Law) has started frightening small children with terrifying nightmares.
So, North, combined with the other Guardians - Bunny (Hugh Jackman), Tooth (Isla Fisher) and Sandman, try to convince Jack Frost to join their group and prevent Pitch prior to kids quit believing inside them, and magic, forever.
There’s enough within the movie to entertain children as well as their parents. The film has a sort heart, a nasty villain, along with a quick pace that rarely decelerates.
The characters are peculiar and different. Although they’re all familiar characters, but appear and sound in a different way to how you’d anticipate.
North includes a thick Russian accent and heavily tattooed arms. Bunny is really a Crocodile Dundee-type hero, with a broad Australian accent and a boomerang.
Tooth {is a|is really a} hummingbird multi-tasking her {little|small} fairies, Jack Frost {is a|is really a} carefree teenager, Pitch {is an|is definitely an} evil Voldermort-esque English devil, {and the|and also the} tubby Sandman is mute, communicating {via|by way of} {pictures|photos}, which {appear|seem} above his head in gold sand. {It’s|It is} {strange|unusual}, but somehow {works|functions}.
