Florida, FL (prHWY.com) December 22, 2012 - Florida, Dec 22, 2012 - Prison consultants who are former attorneys have the distinct advantage of being able to assist their clients with the legal process. They can become an integral part of a legal defense team. They are trained to spot issues quickly and solve problems for their clients efficiently. And they have experience with the types of battles that arise in virtually every case.
Prison Consultant - Even if it is warranted, blaming your lawyer, judge, friends, family, business partners or anyone else constitutes energy wasted; energy that should be focused on preparing for the next stage of your life. Dwelling on any negative emotions will only yield negative outcomes. It is crucial that you get in the right mental state. One way to do this is by forcing yourself to look for the positives that this situation may bring to your life.
Your mental state can also be greatly improved by paying attention to your physical wellbeing. Maybe it's the last thing you feel like doing now, but you can't let yourself fall into a depressed and lethargic state. Force yourself to get out and run, go to the gym, play basketball, go hiking. Anything. It is a great way to work off the pent up stress.
Federal Guidelines applicable to criminal defendants were promulgated by a Federal Sentencing Commission and passed as law by the U.S. Congress in 1986 under the Anti-Drug Abuse Act (The 1986 Act). These guidelines gave sentencing judges a range of sentences to apply in each type of criminal case. In the case of cocaine sentences Congress enacted a 100-1 ratio for convictions of crack verses powder. the Act's five-year mandatory minimum applies to any defendant accountable for 5 grams of crack or 500 grams of powder, and its ten-year mandatory minimum applies to any defendant accountable for 50 grams of crack or 5,000 grams of powder. Congress apparently found (in 1986) the newly marketed product, crack cocaine to be much more dangerous that powder.
Your client is going to be making certain critical decisions that will have an overwhelming impact on his future. He will have to make these decisions at a time when he will be ill equipped to make them. He will be suffering from massive stress and his family will be thrown into turmoil and fear. His normal resources may be cut off and he is going to have to put his faith in others. Even though he doesn't want to trust anyone, he is going to have to trust you
