William Jegen Celebrates 20 Years of Work in Finance

William Jegen has been involved in the finance industry for many years. He has worked for other employers and created his own businesses.

Glenview, IL (prHWY.com) December 28, 2012 - While he was still a university student, William Jegen took an interest in the finance industry. After he graduated from Purdue University, William Jegen began his career working for established finance companies. As he grew in experience, he changed jobs looking for more challenging and prestigious positions.

Eventually, William Jegen started a career at the Chicago Board of Trade, working with the rights of Dow Jones. "I enjoyed my time with Dow Jones. It helped me expand my skills in the trade industry and gave me the drive to start my own business," says William Jegen. William Jegen worked for Dow Jones from 1998 to 2006, and in 2002 was part of the Dow Jones Futures committee "to retain trading rights for the Chicago Board of Trade."

William Jegen worked his way from the Dow Jones committee to the position of Chairman of the Dow Jones Futures Pit in 2004. "Being Chairman was very rewarding. I knew the position carried a lot of responsibility and decision-making but I was eager to meet the challenge. The position of Chairman demonstrated to me I was able to be comfortable in the leadership role," recalls William Jegen.

William Jegen decided to leave the CBOT to pursue his ambition of starting his own business. As a result of his departure, William Jegen created a number of companies. He is the proud founder of Power Managed Futures Fund and is President of WJ Trading. He has held the position of president for 4 years. Another of William Jegen's creations is Power Energy Partners, which is an energy market and logistics company.

Founding finance related companies was lots of work but very rewarding for William Jegen. "From my years working in the industry, I knew what I wanted each business to accomplish," he says. WJ Trading and Power Energy Partners are both affiliated with the Chicago Board of Trade. William Jegen knows for the success of his businesses he needs to have professional affiliations. Power Energy Partners is also a member of CME and Nymex. William Jegen's himself has been a member of CBOT for 15 years. He has spent two decades working in the finance industry and is proud to be an entrepreneur. He now works towards growing his businesses to meet his clients' needs.
