Deneeta Pope Marries in Italy
Deneeta Pope, a highly successful IT consultant, was recently married to Michael Thompson in Tuscany, Italy.
(prHWY.com) January 3, 2013 - Chicago, IL -- Deneeta Pope was married to Michel Thompson on May 23, 2012 in Tuscany, Italy. The couple married at the historic San Galgano, which is about 19 miles southwest of Siena. It is home to the remains of a beautiful abbey, which is believed to contain the real sword of King Arthur. The couple was fortunate to be one of the first to marry with an authentic Italian ceremony in the uncovered space of the architecturally important structure.

Deneeta Pope and Michael Thompson call Chicago home. In Chicago, Pope is the President of Excel Strategies, Inc., an IT consulting firm specializing in project management. She founded the company in 2002. Through Excel Solutions, Pope has served clients on four continents and in a variety of industries, including higher education, government, and telecommunications.

"I'm thrilled about having married Michael," commented Deneeta Pope. "When we were introduced by our mutual friend, Molly, in the summer of 2010, neither of us had any idea that we were meeting our other half. Of course, now I can't imagine what my life would be like if I didn't go to Michael's rooftop party on that cold Chicago summer night!"

Now, in 2012, the happy couple is making plans to build their first home together. Deneeta Pope, who is a licensed realtor and General Contractor in Chicago, is building the couple's first home in the historic Old Town neighborhood in downtown Chicago.

"We're obviously quite excited about building our first home," said Deneeta Pope. "We've both lived in some exciting and vibrant neighborhoods in Chicago as adults, so we now know what we like best. Together, we're creating the home of our dreams!"

Aside from building their new home together, Deneeta Pope and her husband thoroughly enjoy traveling. "Traveling was something we bonded over early on," said Deneeta Pope. "Actually, it was while traveling that Michael and I became engaged. We were on a trip to Ireland and Paris, celebrating Michael's birthday, when he popped the question. We were staying close to the Louvre in Paris, and settled down for a picnic in Les Tuileries Garden. Michael stepped away to slyly hand a camera to a stranger. When he came back, he asked the question, and the rest, as they say, was history!"
