Ted Stalcup Celebrates 5+ Years as "Lawyer in the Library"

(prHWY.com) January 13, 2013 - San Jose,, CA -- Ted Stalcup is pleased to announce that he is currently celebrating 61 consecutive months (more than five years) as a volunteer Lawyer in the Library for Pleasanton, California. Through the Lawyer in the Library program, Theodore Stalcup and other service-minded lawyers offer free 20-minute legal counsel sessions to library patrons. These sessions help guide community members as they sift through the various legal options available to them.

"The Lawyer in the Library program," commented Ted Stalcup, "is a terrific boon to the community of Pleasanton. Several counties and cities throughout California offer this type of program, but few are as well-managed and operated as Pleasanton's. Working with the city - and working with the people in need - has been a joy for me. I always look forward to the time I spend in the library each week."

In his professional practice, Theodore Stalcup serves clients who are facing criminal charges or who are in prison and need relief. Stalcup has a reputation for going above and beyond the call of duty to make himself as accessible as possible for his clients. His diligent approach and high ethical standards have distinguished him from his colleagues in California.

In addition to serving as Lawyer in the Library, Theodore Stalcup has volunteered 1100 hours in Alameda County as a Family Law facilitator. For Stalcup, volunteerism is more than a side interest. Stalcup commented that he sees volunteering as, "an integral part of life. I can't imagine practicing law without using my knowledge and talents to help others. Unfortunately, legal help has become so expensive these days. However, the fact that people of all economic statuses need legal help remains the same. By volunteering in the legal field, I hope to do my part in bridging that gap between need and means."

At the present, Ted Stalcup is making plans to continue his service with the Pleasanton, California Lawyer in the Library program. "The program has a good staff," said Theodore Stalcup, "but it can always use more help. In addition to serving with the program, I'm strategizing ways that I can bring more lawyers in to help with this cause."
