(prHWY.com) January 18, 2013 - Kanata, Canada -- Ottawa, Ontario (December 20, 2012) - Family Therapy, a highly regarded practice specializing in youth, couple, and family counseling, is offering a weekend marriage enhancement group beginning next year. The Kanata-based practice is set to offer the special sessions for marriage counseling in Ottawa as early as January 2013.

Aptly named the Hold Me Tight workshop, the educational program helps partners strengthen their relationship by learning from other couples who have gone through situations similar to what they are facing. The course lets participants watch video clips of these other people who have overcome marital discord and together worked through their negative communication patterns. Participants will also be given the time to do meaningful, related exercises in private.

The program is based on the book Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love by Dr. Sue Johnson. It teaches people the conversations that help repair and deepen emotional bonds between partners. With the principles and insights shared in the course, couples can achieve their goal of strengthening and healing their own relationships.

The upcoming workshop also represents another proactive option for people who are already undergoing Emotionally Focused Therapy at the practice.

Slots are limited for the Hold Me Tight course, which will be held on January 25 and 26 as well as February 2, 2013. Each session will be conducted by a licensed psychologist in Ottawa.

To sign up for the workshop or to make an appointment for other counseling services, call (613) 287-3799. Visit www.Family-Therapy.ca for more information.
