(prHWY.com) January 20, 2013 - Butler, PA -- Strategic Emergency Training is pleased to announce they will be starting the Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Certification, or HEPC, courses in March 2013. This program is designed to train personnel who work in hospitals and other areas of healthcare, performing emergency planning, recovery and first response, as well as those who have an interest from a municipal standpoint. Without the proper training in disaster management and emergency preparedness, disaster can become chaos.

Strategic Emergency Training will hold a total of nine courses over the year, starting in March and continuing through the end of November. A tenth course will take place in December for those who wish to take it. All courses are available online, though those who wish to take the tenth Capstone course can take it online or in person at the Butler County Community College with the Advanced Disaster Management Simulator for realistic practice situations.

This nine-month program will be taught by some of the leading experts in the area of emergency preparedness and disaster management training. Rick Lippert, EMC Coordinator of the Children's Hospital Pittsburgh, Dan Schrimsher, environmental, safety and health professional, and Nora O'Brien, founder of Connect Consulting Services, will all work closely with Strategic Emergency Training to train participants in all areas of disaster management.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about this important training can read more information at the Strategic Emergency Training website or call Steve Catt at 1-724-431-4607.
