Deneeta Pope Utilizes Passions for New Home Construction

For a while, things seemed to pretty much die out in terms of new home construction. News continued about the foreclosures of people's homes, which further stalled any security people had felt in purchasing or building a new home.

Deneeta Pope, however, decided that she was going to be one of the people who would go ahead and continue her dream of building her own home. "I'm proud to announce that we broke ground on another construction project I'm managing," says Deneeta Pope. The project she's referring to? "We are building our first new home!"
It is a project that she's openly excited for. "I'm able to utilize all my skills and passions on this project. I'll be using my business skills, project management skills, and knowledge of real estate throughout this project," says Deneeta Pope. But at the crux of it all, she's ready to put her interest in interior design to work. "One of the benefits of building your own home and having your own General Contractor license is buying the materials yourself, so the house is built just the way you want it," says Deneeta Pope.

Depending on personal taste, this means homebuilders like Deneeta Pope can customize everything from the type of tile or flooring installed in the home to the material and color of the countertops and other home fixtures. Since the home is built to the owner's desire, the owner doesn't have to worry about turning around and remodeling the home to fit their personal look.

Deneeta Pope is comfortable with the idea of managing the construction of her own home. While the majority of her background has been in IT work, she has both a City of Chicago Realtor license and a City of Chicago General Contractor license. On top of that, Deneeta Pope is certified in Production Planning and has been a member of the Project Management Institute since the summer of 2012.
