AWARD WINNING PRODUCER LAUNCHES FILM FINANCE & PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

(prHWY.com) January 25, 2013 - Vancouver, Canada -- Award willing director and prolific producer Gavin Wilding and Kerner Studios (Canada) CEO, Eric Edmeades, jointly announced today the launch of an educational initiative, THE KERNER FILM SCHOOL EXPERIENCE, to teach how films & digital content are financially structured and successfully packaged, produced and distributed.

VANCOUVER, BC - 16 January 2013 - Kerner Studios (Canada) announced today the launch of a new seminar series focused on an 'executive' style intensive weekend format. These Immersive events are designed to provide students and independent film makers with a unique skill-set in current finance/production models, specifically targeted at how films are packaged,produced and, in particular, funded and distributed. This unique educational initiative boasts a combination of practical and current strategies and fills a void in the current market of film-based education options.

"When I think of the help I got from experienced producers when I was starting out, the idea that I can now help indy producers avoid some of the painful mistakes I have made over the years,and offer the production knowledge I have, really excites me." commented Gavin Wilding in Los Angeles this morning.

The first program, called the "Kerner FIlm School Experience" will take place in Los Angeles at the end of the month. A full calendar of events in a variety of other cities around the world -- including Cape Town, London, Vancouver, Toronto, Dubai and Mumbai -- will be announced in the coming weeks.

"We were surprised at how many programs and seminars in the market were being taught by people who had never made a film. When Gavin agreed to help us create this program I became immediately excited. Here is a producer with over a dozen feature credits and a history of working with excellent actors including Brooke Shields, Jason Statham, Kevin Dillon, Mark Hamill and Academy Award Winner, Charlize Theron.

Kerner's Film School Experience will be delivered as a two-day weekend seminar and will cover the entire process of developing, packaging, funding, producing and distributing a feature film.
