The Polish-American Family Festival put on by the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa is made possible by volunteers like Andrew Muc.
(prHWY.com) January 28, 2013 - Philadelphia, PA -- The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa celebrated its 47th annual Polish-American Family Festival & Country Fair to great turnout and success in September, 2012. Andrew Muc, a volunteer at the event was thrilled with the turnout and success. Andrew Muc, who is a longtime supporter and volunteer at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, was pleased to see so many people get together to celebrate and share in Polish-American culture.
"The festival is a great way to share the Polish-American cultural heritage," says Andrew Muc. "People from all over came to experience Polish art, food, and festivities" The event took place at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, a cultural hub for Polish-Americans located on a beautiful 147 acres in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Andrew Muc believes there could not be a better location for this event. The property is beautiful and has such a rich history for Polish-Americans.
Andrew Muc says that his favorite part about the event this year was definitely the food. Polish food is a well kept secret in this country, says Andrew Muc. But a good bowl of borscht and authentic pirogues will convert just about anyone who tries it into a fan. The Polish-American festival featured several carts with truly delicious and authentic Polish cuisine.
Andrew Muc was also impressed by all of the art and craft stalls. The craft village had lots of incredible Polish handiwork, from intricately decorated eggshells to beautiful clothing and pottery, there was so much authentic handiwork at the festival to take in.
Andrew Muc is looking forward to next year's Polish American Festival, and is excited to see the event will continue to grow. Andrew Muc is always happy to contribute his time to help make this incredible festival happen. "It's important to share our culture and heritage," says Andrew Muc, "and this event is one of the best ways for people to get a taste of Polish-American life culture."
