Only Law Firm Recognized in Midsize Category by Seattle Business Magazine

SEATTLE, July 14, 2010 - For the second year in a row, Garvey Schubert Barer was named one of Washington's 100 Best Companies to Work For by Seattle Business magazine. Ranked sixth in the "Midsize Companies" category, Garvey Schubert Barer was the only law firm listed in the category.

"We are honored to be recognized as one of the best places to work in Washington. Our core values promote a progressive, inclusive culture that embraces diversity and stresses the importance of each individual contribution. It this environment that allows us to focus on our clients - delivering the high level of service they have come to expect," said Anne Preston, chair Garvey Schubert Barer.

Garvey Schubert Barer was honored by Seattle Business magazine at its recent "100 of Washington State's Best Companies to Work For 2010" awards dinner. Winning companies were recognized for setting the standards for leadership, benefits, work environment, innovative training programs and employee morale. More than 10,000 employees of nominated companies filled out surveys administered by research firm Ipsos. A distinguished panel of judges chose the winning companies from the calculated research.

"Being named among the 'Best Companies to Work For' is simply a reflection of our attorneys and staff. All consistently demonstrate that they are invested in the firm and, as such, they are a vital part of its success. This dedication creates a true team atmosphere of support, which inspires people to succeed and want long-term careers at the firm," said Carla Weitzman, Garvey's Seattle office administrator.
