Nomorerack Regularly Donates to Charity
Nomorerack donates to a non-profit charity every month through their designated Charity Deal item. They donate to a number of worthy causes, from organizations that help low-income families to those that assist survivors of natural disasters.
(prHWY.com) February 9, 2013 - New York, NY -- Nomorerack has a special program set up specifically for the company to meet their monthly goal of donating to a non-profit charity. They created the special daily Charity Deal. Every time the Charity Deal item is purchased by a customer, Nomorerack takes the purchase and turns the profit over to their selected charity of that month. "We want donating to be simple, and with Charity Deal, shoppers know the money spent on that item will go to a worthy cause," says a spokesman for Nomorerack.
While Nomorerack does want every charity they pick to be "worthy," they don't show favoritism by supporting a single individual charity. They pick a different charity every month, which are oftentimes related to different areas of need. "We've given to cancer charities, charities targeted towards helping children in low income families, and victims of the Joplin tornado," says Nomorerack.
The charities supported by Nomorerack in the past include: Runway to Hope, Bloggers for Joplin, The Rose, Family Giving Tree, and First Book. In November of 2012, Nomorerack was able to raise an astonishing $12 million for the month's selected charity. "We are very proud to be a company that gives back. Even though our corporate office is in New York, we've raised money for charities around the country," says Nomorerack.
Runway to Hope is a Florida-based non-profit charity that uses the money they receive through donation for research, education, technology and family assistance for families affected by pediatric cancer. Nomorerack raised cash for the organization "to support the Runway to Hope's Spring Fashion Soiree."
In addition to supporting individuals with cancer, Nomorerack donated $100 gift cards to the survivors of the Joplin tornado so that residents could replace some of what they lost from the storm. In the spirit of helping people without, Nomorerack raised money for two organizations targeted towards children of low-income families: First Book for low-income schools and libraries, and Family Giving Tree, which "provides school supplies for kids. We helped buy gifts and supplies for the organization," says Nomorerack.
