MBAUniverse.com's BBA ranking evokes good response; deadline ends Feb 20
MBAUniverse.com has launched the survey process for BBA ranking, the first-ever such an exercise in the country
(prHWY.com) February 11, 2013 - Noida, India -- After publishing the 3rd edition of its MBA Ranking 2013, MBAUniverse.com has launched the survey process for BBA ranking, the first-ever such an exercise in the country. Progressive universities and B schools from all parts of India have appreciated the need for this kind of a survey to guide BBA students, who don't have an objective benchmark to decide on which BBA program to choose.
The last day of participation is February 20, 2013. The results of the BBA survey will be released in March on MBAUniverse.com & the print media and will guide more than 100,000 BBA aspirants for admissions in 2013.
Dr Bakul Dholakia, noted management educationist and former director of IIM Ahmedabad; Dr R K Shukla, former director of NCAER; and Prof VK Khanna, former HoD, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi University, are part of the advisory body that oversees the entire process.
Describing the rationale behind publishing the BBA ranking, Amit Agnihotri, chairman of MBAUniverse.com, said, "While lakhs of students take admissions into hundreds and thousands of BBA programs every year, there exists no yardstick to identify top institutes and their programs. In the absence of such a yardstick, students fall prey to heresy. Also, if a definitive yardstick is in place, the entire BBA ecosystem will benefit by attracting better quality of students and recruiters."
The initiative launched by MBAUniverse.com has received accolades and support from senior management educationists.
Dr Madhukar Angur, chancellor, Alliance University, said, "Launching India's 1st BBA ranking is an excellent initiative by MBAUniverse.com. While undergraduate management education is a respected domain in the West, it is much neglected in India. We must not ignore under graduate management education in India."
Dr Indira Parikh, president, FLAME, Pune, and former dean of IIM-A, said: "Yes, we need a benchmark for ranking BBA programs in the country. A credible ranking will help develop the BBA education sector, and will also spread awareness about the career choice."
MBAUniverse.com BBA Ranking is based on a unique methodology that covers 'Inputs', 'Processes' and 'Outputs' of a program. A comprehensive questionnaire covers these data points. The rankings are completely based on 'data', and have no 'perception' surveys.
The process of data collection is currently in progress. MBAUniverse.com research unit is collecting data from all well-known universities & colleges across the country to give the ranking a holistic nature. Following the collection of data, the same will be analyzed by a specialized data analytics firm under the guidance of the survey advisory body.
The BBA ranking by MBAUniverse.com offers an opportunity to all the colleges and universities to get their BBA programs evaluated by an organization that has created a niche for itself so far as the Indian management education scenario is concerned. The ranking will not only guide aspirants to choose the right institute but also help B schools attract better talents.
