Jon Lukas Palmer Announces Winter Ski Trip
Oklahoma-based law student, Jon Lukas Palmer, announces an upcoming winter ski trip to Angel Fire, New Mexico.
(prHWY.com) February 12, 2013 - Broken Arrow, OK -- Jon Lukas Palmer is pleased to announce that he has finalized plans for his annual winter ski trip to Angel Fire Ski Resort in Angel Fire, New Mexico. The young Oklahoma-based law student awaits the annual trip with great anticipation. As a ski and snowboard enthusiast, Angel Fire offers some of the best winter sporting opportunities in the state of New Mexico.

"I've been taking this trip for several years," said Jon Lukas Palmer. "Every year, the two weeks I spend at Angel Fire are the best two weeks of my year! I love my work in law school and I love being able to keep up with Texas and Oklahoma sports, but nothing compares to the enjoyment I get out of skiing and snowboarding."

Angel Fire is a small village in southwestern New Mexico with a modest population of 1,048, according to the 2000 U.S. Census. However, with an elevation of 8,406 feet and a summit of 10,677 feet, it's an extremely popular tourist destination during the skiing season. In addition to boasting great skiing and snowboarding opportunities, Angel Fire is home to an annual summer music festival.

"It's a really great town," said Jon Lukas Palmer, "with a lot going on. Of course, we all go to Angel Fire for the skiing, but it's the mountain town's unique, one-of-a-kind feel that keeps people coming back. There are tons of places to ski in New Mexico, Colorado, and elsewhere throughout the west. I love Angel Fire though because it's got that unmistakable sense of 'place' that you don't meet just anywhere.'

Palmer sees this year's trip as a nice reward for his recent completion of the Oklahoma Licensed Legal Internship Program, a challenging yearlong program that places ambitious law students under the supervision of local attorneys in either the private or public sector.

"I recently finished working with some attorneys in the public sector - specifically in the Public Defender's Office," said Jon Lukas Palmer. "Though the work was really rewarding and edifying, it was also exhausting. This trip to Angel Fire Ski Resort will be a really nice way to end the long year of work."
