(prHWY.com) February 20, 2013 - Charlotte, NC -- Julian Peter Andretta enjoys a number of hobbies when he's not working. Some of his favorite hobbies include producing videos and staying physically active. Of course, this doesn't stop him from participating in other fun challenges such as American Roadside challenge where his name is on the Wall of Fame for eating the Roadstar; a 4 in 1 cheeseburger food challenge in North Carolina.

Julian Peter Andretta doesn't have to fear keeping the calories from the mega burger because he easily burns them off when he cycles. "If I had to pick, I'd say cycling is my favorite recreational activity. I enjoy it and I also grew up around the cycling culture," explains Julian Peter Andretta.

Julian Peter Andretta truly enjoys the sport and easily combined it to perform charity work. Starting in 2006, he became an annual participant in 24 Hours of Booty charity event. The event is the official 24-hour cycling fundraising for LIVESTRONG; a national cancer charity. He last participated in the 2012fundraiser event.

"24 Hours of Booty was created in 2002, and has raised millions of dollars for cancer charity since its creation. In 2011, Gita Sporting Goods was the events top fundraiser," explains Julian Peter Andretta. He has been employed by Gita Sporting Goods since 2010, and is unsurprised that the company would support a cycling event since the company imports and distributes cycling equipment and other goods.

"There are many great causes to get involved in and it is great to see so many people participating in an event for a great cause," says Julian Peter Andretta. Combining a hobby with charity work helps many organizations raise money. Another popular method is through marathons which Julian Peter Andretta ran in the past. "I took part in the 2010, Charlotte's Thunder Road Marathon where I was 817 out of 4, 570 participants and the 8K Charlotte Turkey Trot," recalls Julian Peter Andretta.
