Doon Adopted the Rural School
According to Indian constitution everyone has right to education which means education does not belong to anyone class, it's the right of everyone whether rich or poor.
(prHWY.com) February 25, 2013 - New Delhi, India -- According to Indian constitution everyone has right to education which means education does not belong to anyone class, it's the right of everyone whether rich or poor. And Doon public school firmly believes in this right and supports Indian constitution. Therefore it organizes rural development program every now and then. Recently it had conducted a rural development program for the children of Kohand village in Haryana. It was the idea of school's manager Mr. Sarat Chandran, who saw a passion in the eyes of these students of SD Harit Modern School to learn and perform despite the limitations.

Though almost all the students who were part of this program belongs to families of farmers and labourers and are first one in their family to visit a school, but don't have anyone in their home to guide them. Therefore Mr. Sarat Chandran decided to help these students who have shown such a courage and determination for their studies. The idea was providing the basic amenities to these rural children like Clean drinking water and separate toilets to which these students had no access in their village, but the students were still regular and performing well at studies facing all the odds.

We were surprised to see that many of them can speak in fluent English and very good in other subjects too. Impressed by their knowledge and determination, we decided to adopted SD Harit Modern School in Kohand village in District Karnal, Haryana and help this school in it's educational, technical and infrastructural development. Its a small step taken by Doon public school for development of this village.
