(prHWY.com) March 12, 2013 - Cape Town, South Africa -- The sunrise marks the beginning of an amazing experience; there are other places to do a shark cage diving trip but no other compares to Simon's Town with its astonishing False Bay opening the door to the nature's show. Starring no other than the Great White Shark, our objective is to capture it´s smile up close, diving with the sharks. But before we do it, we prepare to see the legendary shark breaching, a 2000 Kg fish missile shoot from the water into the air to catch it's prey. It doesn't matter how many times you have seen it on TV nothing compares to have it happening a few feet from you.
If you are able to recover from the shock of watching nature's most perfect killing machine in action, the trip continues into the open sea, where the group prepares to dive with sharks. It may be the most frightening experience you can think of, but the adrenalin rush of diving with great white sharks beats any fear. Cages in the water, wet suit on, air tank and mask ready, against all your survival instinct you do the jump into the steel cage and your trip to another world begins.
The water is cold and cloudy because of the bait and hides the magnificent fish lurking in the deep, a shadow closing in and suddenly a gigantic smile staring right at the cage. That is what diving with great white sharks is all about. The surprise, the adrenalin rush, the impact, while this apex predator is swimming around you and the only barrier between you two is a steel cage that looks like a toy in front of the beast (but don't get me wrong you are totally safe inside the cage).
When you shark dive you get in contact with a part of this world that you didn´t know, it doesn't matter if you're an expert diver or if have never dived before. When you do shark cage diving or even better when you free dive with sharks you discover the connection between the predator and its environment, is like poetry in motion right before your eyes.
Shark breaching watched from underneath the surface gives a whole different perspective on how the great white shark develops the attack just as a well coordinated ballet act where there's no nut cracking but a lot of seal eating. In fact seals have set times for eating and traveling as a way to protect themselves against the sharks.
Shark cage diving specially diving with great white sharks is a life changing experience that gets you closer to nature and helps you to develop or increase environmental awareness. As well as getting to know shark better and breaking the myth of them being heartless murderers, but rather to see them as the beautiful and perfect animals they are. Great white shark cage diving is one of the most extreme activities you can do to get in touch with mother nature and with yourself.
