(prHWY.com) March 12, 2013 - Seattle, WA -- Most graduates of audio engineering schools learn how to work with sound and audio recordings, but it appears as is some of the skills learned by these graduates could help people who have chosen a rather spooky career - ghost hunting. Ghost hunters from around the world are looking for recent graduates to help them on their cases.

"We discovered that the skills learned by those who attend audio engineering schools is invaluable", said Danny Underhill, a ghost hunter. "Just by having a graduate of an audio engineering school on our ghost hunting task force, we increase our chances of finding the ghost or ghosts by 25%."

The question on many people's mind is how does a graduate of an audio engineering school help ghost hunters in their search. That answer is not as straightforward as people would like it to be.

Ghost hunters have discovered that certain types of ghosts emit sounds that can only be picked up by using certain recording techniques. These techniques can only be learned at local audio engineering schools, which is why the ghost hunters need graduates of these schools.

"There is reliable, scientific evidence that ghosts of a certain kind emit these high pitched sounds", said Underhill. "These sounds cannot be heard by the naked human ear. They have to be captured on an audio recording. Graduates of audio engineering schools can help us with these recordings."

When there is a suspected ghost haunting in an area, ghost hunters will take several hours and record the sounds that appear in a certain room. They will go back and listen to the recording to see if they can find evidence of a ghost in the area.

"These recordings help a lot", explained Underhill. "They help us know what type of ghost we have on our hands, what it might be saying, and where it is in a certain area. We have been able to solve over 25% more cases just by using these audio engineering students and graduates."

Graduates of audio engineering schools have been surprised by the recent increase in interest from ghost hunters.

"I was surprised and a little shocked when I received a job offer from a local ghost hunter", said Chris Miller, a graduate of an audio engineering school. "I thought it was some friends of mine playing a joke on me. But then I realized it was real. It was a little weird, but I just had to take the job offer. I mean who else gets to work with ghosts on a daily basis? It's so amazing."
