RKI Eagle 2 is a feature rich instrument that contains many advanced and unique features. It is a powerful device that offers confined space protection for O2, H2S, CO and much more. You can now select unique detection combinations which are the first ever for portable gas monitors of any type.
What makes RKI Eagle 2 different from other gas detectors of its type is the inclusion of a PID (Photo Ionization Detector). The device includes two types of PID sensors, a low range (0 - 50 ppm) sensor and a high range (0 - 2,000 ppm) sensor. In total it contains up to six exotic sensors with numerous combinations. Conversion factors for several common gases are already programmed into the EAGLE 2 for the LEL/PPM catalytic sensor as well as the PID sensor. Its relative response feature provides a list of pre-programmed response features of as many as 17 different Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). You can then select from the list of gases and choose one whose response is relative to the configured gas.
Out of the 17 response feature, the device contains 16 pre-defined gases and gives option to the user to define the remaining gas using the Eagle 2 Maintenance Data Loader Program. RKI Eagle 2 comes with an Operators Manual that includes the chart for its Relative Response Factors.
