(prHWY.com) March 18, 2013 - Seattle, WA -- Todd Smith is known amongst his friends as the self-proclaimed King of Project Portfolio Management. Ever since his company took over 20 new clients, he has been working his online project portfolio management system like a professional.
"I have over 300 projects going at any time on my project
portfolio management software", said Todd Smith. "That might seem like a lot to some people, but for me it is all smooth sailing."
The average project manager has approximately 50 to 100 projects going on a project portfolio management software program. Todd Smith's number of projects far exceeds that.
"I had to request the one company create a special program just for the sheer number of projects I manage", said Smith. "They thought I was crazy until I showed them that I was using several software programs and really wanted all the projects on one system."
The high number of projects that Todd Smith manages on a daily basis was enough to capture the attention of the world record keepers. The minute they saw how many projects he was juggling they decided to add a world record in honor of him.
"We were honestly surprised that one individual could manage so many projects", said the world record keeper. "I have never heard of anyone doing that before. When I saw the news story about this man's 300th project, I knew I had to get him some type of world record. It was just an amazing accomplishment that he achieved."
Todd Smith was awarded the world record for most simultaneous projects being managed by a single person at one time. The honor has earned him a place in the world record book, a huge trophy, and a lot of bragging rights amongst his friends.
"People always laughed at me because they thought I was crazy", said Smith. "They didn't realize that what I was doing could be something that earned me a world record. Now, they have to eat their words because I am a world record holder and they are not."
Todd Smith is fairly secure with his world record. Currently, there is no one else in line to even try to break his record.
"We have not received any requests for the special premium software Smith uses", said the supplier of the project management portfolio software program. "That is a good indication no one is even close to trying to steal the world record from Todd Smith."
