The results of the much awaited MBAUniverse.com MBA Ranking Survey 2010 are out now. The survey was conducted on the basis of as many as nine parameters. The advisory body of the ranking was headed by Dr. Bakul Dholakia.

The Ranking highlights the performance of India's Top MBA institutes on as many as nine parameters. The ranking was prepared under the guidance of a highly credible advisory body headed by Dr. Bakul Dholakia, and followed a carefully developed Ranking process.
Ranking process
The survey was conducted by MBAUniverse.com with the support of globally reputed market research firm Annik. More than 100 B-schools and HR recruiters participated in the survey. The number of student participants was more than 1000. Padma Shri awardee and former Director of IIM Ahmedabad Dr. Bakul Dholakia was the Chairman of the Advisory Body. The other members were Praveen Tripathi, Member Advisory Council-Government of India's Unique Identification Project (AADHAR) - IIT Kanpur, IIM Ahmedabad; and, Dr. Rajesh K Shukla, Senior Fellow & Chief Statistician at National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER).

Ranking Research Methodology:
The methodology applied for this survey was three dimensional which contained the 'Input parameters', the 'Process parameters' and the 'Output parameters' of an MBA program. The input includes student aptitude and student proficiency, process includes quality of faculty, physical infrastructure and international initiatives. Output includes the market value academic excellence, recruiters' perception and students' experience.
The input parameters included the entrance exam scores such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CET etc; the academic backgrounds such of the students as Class XIIth results and the graduation streams their work experiences in number of years.
The process parameter includes faculty types, such as number of permanent faculty, their backgrounds, industry and academic experience, number of seminars or conferences attended etc. Industry engagements such as amount of scholarships and grants provided to the students, campus visits by industry professionals etc. Infrastructure support and internationalization initiative such as number of students and faculty members sent abroad on exchange programs.
The output parameters include the academic excellence, which refers to the number of consulting, MDPs and research hours put in by the faculty members, MDPs, workshops, conferences etc. organized by the institute. Percentage of students receiving pre-placement and final placement offers, the perception of the HR or the recruiters on the students' communication skill, aptitude, learning ability, leadership quality, decision making ability etc. also consist the output parameters.
MBAUniverse.com will be releasing the full table of Top 75+ B-school by August 17, 2010. The data from the rankings will be incorporate into the proprietary B-school search tool on MBAUniverse.com. This will facilitate easier comparison for MBA Aspirants.
MBAUniverse.com will soon be publishing detailed rankings for each institute on all the nine parameters that were studied to arrive at the final rankings. These parameter wise rankings will be part of a dedicated microsite offering a lot more information of Research Methodology.
