As a result of this dedication, we are proud to announce that Chrysler Group LLC is soon releasing an all-new brand to complement our exciting line of Newark used Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep models - the SRT brand.
This new brand will focus on Street and Racing Technology (SRT) and will build low-volume, high-performance vehicles for Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge. In the beginning, the SRT line will be based on the Dodge Challenger, but Chrysler has plans to expand as early as this fall. This upcoming expansion will add SRT versions of the Dodge Charger, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Chrysler 300C.
Ralph Gilles, who was formerly the president and CEO of Dodge, is set to lead the new cross-brand performance unit and Chrysler Motorsports activities. This move comes as part of a larger reorganization effort at Chrysler. Along with his new responsibilities, Gilles will maintain design responsibility for all Dodge, Ram, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles.
