(prHWY.com) July 15, 2011 - Chicago, IL -- Toyota shows appreciation by giving back
Something about a company that gives back to its community is very reassuring. Oak Park used Tundra drivers can certainly appreciate a corporation that cares. Recently Toyota has set the bar in philanthropy department. On June 9, 2011, the list of the first 25 winners of the Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program was released.
The Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program is put in place to donate 100 cars to very deserving nonprofit organizations. Starting May 9th the public may vote online for their favorite group. Originally, a group of panel judges voted on 500 organizations and from there the 100 are being selected. Five organizations per day will also have the privilege of a profile on Toyota's Facebook page.
The winning organizations are located across the United States. Some included in the first 25 are North Mecklenburg Animal Services of Old Fort, NC; Alaska Christian College of Soldotna, Alaska; St. Louis Area Foodbank of Bridgeton, MO; Children's Specialized Hospital of Mountainside, NJ; and Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children of Friendswood, Texas. Oak Park used Tundra drivers hope that some of their local organizations will also be among the 75 remaining winners.
Each winning organization may choose from several Toyota models. Those included are the Highlander Hybrid, Prius, Sienna, Sienna Mobility, Tacoma, or Tundra. Also included is a six-year, 100,000 mile Toyota Vehicle Service Agreement. This set-up will allow for coverage beyond the average warranty. Chicago used Tundra owners will rest comfortably knowing that Toyota is becoming a part of their very own community.
