(prHWY.com) July 20, 2011 - San Jose, CA -- U.S. News has produced its annual auto rankings, and Honda couldn't have been prouder. Five Honda vehicles made it on their list of 33 top affordable small cars, and the popular 2011 Honda Fit was rated as the Best Hatchback for value.
The five to make the list of affordable small cars were the Fit (#2), CR-Z (#15), Insight (#16), 2012 Civic (#21) and the 2012 Civic Hybrid (#25). Criteria for the rating system included exterior design, interior design, performance, reliability and safety. Sources for information included published reviews and test drives.
The 2011 Honda Fit has been the talk of Freemont Honda circles for some time now. It was awarded the Best Hatchback for the Money. It demonstrated and went beyond the necessary features for a hatchback and has since been pleasing residents of Milpitas. Used cars are having a hard time competing with the market for new high fuel-economy Hondas. The Fit pulls in about 27 mpg city and 33 highway. Buyers enjoy its stylish and extremely spacious interior and its funky trim. The Fit's June 2011 sales actually reached an all time high, rising 20%.
The Honda CR-Z came in at number 15 on the list of 33. It is Honda's hybrid version of a sports vehicle. Features loved by shoppers of Milpitas used cars include its reliability, its more than impressive interior and its great handling. The CR-Z sports a 122-horsepower, 1.5-liter engine.
Coming in close at number 16 is the 2011 Honda Insight. Another hybrid, gas mileage stacks up particularly well at 40 mpg city and 43 mpg highway. The Insight ranked particularly well for reliability and safety. It's a vehicle that Freemont Honda shoppers know has great initial quality and will retain its excellent value.
The Honda Civic and its hybrid brother made the cut as well, namely for their price and relative safety and quality.
