Another option available features a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine with 240 horsepower and 455 pound feet of torque. The interior has been upgraded to feel more luxurious, as the M Class SUV is longer and wider than the previous version. The 2012 Mercedes M Class SUV is rated at a fuel economy of 17 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway with the gas engine, and 20 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway using the diesel engine. The 2012 Mercedes M Class SUV will hit the market in September of 2011.
