The Clearwater Film & Music Festival, September 22 - 25 will screen films on a state of the art LED screen, the only one of its kind in the Tampa Bay area. The screen is provided through the courtesy of LEDPRO Services in Clearwater.
While the festival does not operate within a traditional theater setting it does offer an incredible viewing experience. The screen is 16' x 8' and will dominate one wall of the Duval Center at Holiday Inn as it is transformed into a theater to completely immerse the viewer into the film.
The Korean American
Clearwater Film festival and The Big Screen Project both used 30' x 16.5' LED screens in outdoor venues in New York City in the past year and the Tribeca Film Festival screened several films on an LG THX Certified LED HDTV. Shortly after the success at Tribeca the Mill Valley Film Festival in California followed suit.
"Just because we are a little festival in our second season doesn't mean we can't jump out of the box and bring something unique to our guests." said Executive Director Mike Rembis "We want this to be a destination festival, complete with films, music and networking opportunities."
The
Clearwater Film festival will present 57 films,12 live musical performances and host 10 hours of educational panels with film and music professionals.
