Then set yourself a budget and know how much you want to spend on your tires. Keep in mind as well, a good tire salesman will ask questions such as, how much city and highway driving you do, how often do you drive and who drives the vehicle. The purpose of this is for them to determine the best design of tires.

It's also recommended when going out shopping for tires, unless you are very familiar with tires, to bring someone knowledgeable with you. This is especially true if you are going somewhere other than a tire store. If you look carefully, and know what to look for in tires, there are other places to shop. Discount or used stores are good, thrift stores, garage sales and classified ads. The thing to be careful with here is what people are trying to sell. You need to be aware of things like tread on the tire and such. You will also want to know when purchasing used tires, how old they are, what vehicle were they on, how many miles on them and were they rotated at all? These are all important questions to ask and will determine if the tires you want to buy are good ones.

The most important thing when purchasing tires for your vehicle is to make sure you get safe tires. Naturally trying to get the cheapest price is very important, yet safety should come first.
