(prHWY.com) September 21, 2011 - Westbury, NY -- This year, Toyota launched a program called Toyota's 100 Cars for Good, which recognized local non-profit organizations for the positive impact they have on their communities. Toyota awarded 100 cars to 100 of these organizations over the course of 100 days. Last month, Toyota announced the final 25 recipients of the Toyota 100 Cars for Good, and Westbury convertible dealer, Westbury Toyota, is proud that the Toyota brand has recognized these worthy organizations for their efforts.
Toyota announced the 100 winners in four groups of 25 winners each, with one winner being chosen per day. The contest was set up through the Toyota brand's Facebook page, where Toyota's Facebook fans were able to vote for the organization that they thought was the most worthy of the prize. Five non-profit organizations were featured on Toyota's Facebook page per day, and each of the four runners up received a grant from Toyota for $1,000. The daily winners received a Toyota car, with the intention that the winning organization would use the car to continue to "do good" in their local communities. The fourth and final group of 25 winners included organizations in categories such as child services, education and animal welfare.
