(prHWY.com) October 13, 2011 - Mountair Avenue, IL -- The digestive system is very vital organ of the human body as food eaten by us is directed in this. It's also known as alimentary canal that consists of many organs. Digestive system performs functions of breaking down of food into small components so that they can absorb easily in our blood cells. The first site of digestion is our mouth, grind by teeth and converted into paste with the help of saliva. Saliva generates from the tongue. Nervous System both are different according to there work but performs crucial functions for the body. It contains an enzyme that break down carbohydrate into smaller sugars. It is called mastication. From mouth the food reaches to esophagus, generally called food pipe. Esophagus is lined by smooth muscles that help to pass the food forward by contraction. When the food reaches to the stomach, muscles of it churn the food by mixing it with stomach acid (hydrochloric acid). This acidity helps to activate an enzyme that breaks down proteins into amino acids. There are some hormones that regulate the digestive system in mammals. These are gastrin, acid, secretin, cholecystokinin, gastric, inhibitory peptide, motilin.

After then the food leaves the stomach and enters small intestine, enzymes from liver and gall bladder released and mixed with the food to break it down even further. This process breaks lipids into fatty acids and glycerol, carbohydrates are broken into sugars and protein breaks down into amino acids. It breaks down the food into small components enough to diffuse. Now these components enter into the blood stream to circulate around the body cells and tissues.

The small intestine is lined by villi that help to absorb the nutrients by adding surface area. After then the food moves to large intestine, here many vitamins, minerals and water are absorbed. It makes the waste more solid. After then it pass through the rectum(waste excretory organ) and anus as feces. Excretory system removes excess, dangerous and unnecessary material from the animal that helps to maintain the internal environment stable and prevent body from the damage. Many chemicals can prove to be toxic for our body if not removed.

The waste material produced from the cells contains urea, salts, carbon dioxide etc. excretory organs are part of digestive system. Excretory functions remove metabolic and toxic waste along with excess water from the body. Excretory system is part of digestive system and is co related to each other in their functioning. The organs work all together to convert food from its raw form into nutrients the body can use. Nervous System Animation, both are very important organs, performs crucial functions for the body. Their proper working is very important for fitness and health of the body. Malfunctioning of these organs can prove to be harmful.
