The development team that makes the Wood R4 Kernel has released their latest Wood R4 1.38 update, addressing and fixing some of the known bugs and issues in their last release and fixing game saves to work on the R4 3DS and R4 DS Card.
(prHWY.com) October 13, 2011 - Los Angeles, CA -- The team behind the Wood R4 firmware for the R4 3DS are at it again, with yet another brand new firmware update for the R4 3DS, R4i Gold 3DS and original R4 Cards.
This update once again corrects some of the bugs and issues found with some of the newest games and applications and enables them to run perfectly. One of the fixes comes by way of fixing the proper save file sizes for a variety of games, allowing them to save more game slots and to save games in a format where corruption of those save files will be a non issue.
It's no surprise that the Wood R4 firmware has quickly become the best and most often used firmware for theurl=http://www.r43ds.org]R4 3DS and older R4 DS Cards. With constant and regular updates, as well as lightning fast bug fixes, the Wood R4 is the go to firmware kernel for any serious homebrew card users.
The issues with the icons and drawing the last item in a small icon have been fixed. While this bug was not an issue as far as loading games was concerned, it was an annoyance that you could not see the last item loaded in the icon. Most of the fixes revolve around making sure that the save game sizes are forced to the required 512Kb in size, to ensure that the games will recognize them and load them up after shut down when you wish to continue your game.
