Unlike the previous editions, Lock my Drive 2.0. supports device locking and file storage features.
Lock my Drive is a software that allows you to password protect your files, folders or the whole device. Its first versions were released last year: Lock my Drive Instant that can hide folder and files and Lock my Drive Strong that can encrypt hard drive, USB Flash drive or memory cards. The new software editions support the locking function. If a user decides to lock their device instead of hiding all or some of the files and folders, the devices becomes inaccessible to others, nobody can copy new files to it or even see the actual available free space.
The second new feature that is available in LMD 2.0. edition is online file storage service. It can be used in order to back up the most important files protecting them from being lost in cases of device damage, loss or stealing. Each user is provided with 2 Gb of free online file storage during a 6-month period, for more storage capacity a user can select one of the paid premium membership plans for 50 Gb, 100 Gb, 250 Gb, 500 Gb or 1 Tb.
