Nokia Indiafest 2012 returns to Goa!!!
With performances from Edward Maya, K.K and Mika Singh...the two-day action packed event received an overwhelming response.
(prHWY.com) February 6, 2012 - Goa, India -- The most beautiful and exotic beach of Goa - Baga Beach was boisterous with exciting scream of participants and audience as the biggest and the coolest fest of the country - Nokia Indiafest 2012 reached the shores. Cutting across boundaries and spread over two days - 27th and 28th January, Channel [v]'s Nokia Indiafest is the culmination for many youngsters' months of effort from across the country. On the other end, music maestros Edward Maya, K.K and Mika Singh rocked the nights of the two day action-packed event, leaving both the audience and students exasperating for more.

Continuing to be the only national level inter-collegiate festival, Channel [v]'s Nokia Indiafest reached out to 240 colleges from across 8 cities through mini fests and zonal competitions. The students battled it out in an eclectic mix of 30 challenging competitions ranging from theatre to music to fashion to sport and more. Each competition was judged by select experts including celebrity enthusiasts from the Survivor Series; a reality show presently aired on Star Plus.

At the end of each challenging and unnerving day, the pro nights invigorated the spirits of the participants with performances from artists like Edward Maya, K.K, Mika Singh and DJ Diamond. The event was sparkling with star performers and celebrity judges and adding on to the grandeur were VJ Manish, VJ Andy and VJ Juhi who entertained the audience with their sheer fervor and wit.

Additionally, this year, Channel [v] along with inter communications has tied up with Conserve India as an initiative towards the betterment of the society. Also, Channel [v] and Nokia introduced interesting engagements for students on both digital platform and on-ground. Through initiatives like Earn your right and Nokia Amazing Journos, students participated in a range of activities resulting in enticing prizes and above all an all paid trip to Goa.

Viral Oza, Director - Marketing, Nokia India, said "We are excited to have been associated with the India Fest for the second consecutive year. This is an important part of our ideology to bring the youth closer to their passions. I believe the Indiafest is the perfect platform for the youth to showcase their talent." We have seen a great response to our 'Amazing journo' competition, where students had to capture and upload amazing moments from the Minifests in their cities. Channel [v]'s Nokia Indiafest 2011 attracted more than 50,000 students from 1200 colleges in its maiden year. A college festival of this scale and magnificence has never been executed before and this annual property will only grow year after year.
