R4i Gold 3DS card offers very good compatibility. All precious Nintendo console can use it to play DS games. But it can't play Nintendo 3DS roms currently.

R4i Gold 3DS card can run 99% DS games. We can't test all games, but it is said almost all famous DS games can be played on this card. Such as Pokemon black/white, Super Mario, Tetris, Contra and so on. It support all kinds of languages, such as English, Japanese, Chinese. R4i Gold 3DS card also support other media functions, such as play music, movie, E-book and so on. It is really fantastic. (It can't play 3D rom currently)

R4i Gold 3DS card has 2 kinds of package: paper box pack and plastic pack. The paper box package is same as old r4i gold V1.4.1 card. It is easy to damage as hardly pressed on the delivery way. New R4i Gold 3DS plastic package is good in anti-press. All orders will be shipped out with new package since August 2011. Accessories inside the package contains:

*1 X MicroSDHC reader / writer

How to setup R4i Gold 3DS card? - R4i Gold Kernel installation
To make R4i Gold 3DS card work, we need to install the software and game to the MicroSD card. The software for R4i Gold 3DS is Wood R4i Kernel, It can be download from r4ids.cn or our download page. The games can be download from r4-roms.com. To finish installation, we need 3 accessories: R4i Gold 3DS flashcard + MicroSD card + USB Adapter.
1. Download R4i Gold kernel (latest version is Wood R4i V1.45) to computer, it is a zipped patch.
2. Unzip the patch, you will get 3 files: "_rpg", "_DS_MENU" and "WOODR4.NDS".
3. Copy the 3 files to the root directory of MicroSD card, throug the USB adapter.
4. Download some Nintendo DS games to computer, it is a zipped patch.
5. Unzip the game patch, you can get a ".NDS" game file.
6. Copy the game file to the MicroSD card.
Installation finished, put R4i Gold 3DS card with MicroSD card to Nintnedo console, start to play game.
