(prHWY.com) March 26, 2012 - Williston, VT -- March 26, 2012 - LABORIE, a leading developer and manufacturer of medical devices in Urology and Gynecology, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement to market and sell the eN-CAMTM Endoscopic Camera and LED Light Source to the North and South American Urology marketplace.

The eN-CAMTM is a state-of-the-art imaging transfer system that allows the Clinician to convert most laptops or PCs into a viewing device for their Endoscopic imaging needs. The eN-CAMTM attaches to almost any rigid or flexible endoscope and communicates through a USB connection via LABORIE Imaging Software, which then saves the image as a JPEG or DICOM file as well as other formats. The LABORIE Imaging Software also allows you to save video loops as an AVI file right on your laptop or PC.

The eN-CAMTM LED Light Source is much smaller in size and weight than a traditional Endoscopic Light Source and uses a fraction of the power consumption. The LED light lasts for approximately 50,000 hours of use, saving the cost of expensive light bulbs. The entire Endoscopic Image Capturing System eliminates the need for a traditional Endoscopy Tower.

"This revolutionary technology will change how Physicians transfer and save their images to a central database or to their Electronic Health Records system," stated Ing Goping, Chief Scientific Officer at LABORIE. "Cystoscopic Images can now be saved to their EHR or emailed to a referring Physician with just a few simple clicks."
