Mysterious Mount Rainer Sasquatch Spices up Regular Heating Call

(prHWY.com) March 28, 2012 - Seattle, WA -- The tasks involved with working in the heating and cooling industry can be fairly mundane. Workers are required to install the heating and cooling system, repair holes that might be causing drafts, and install piping along empty houses. Those mundane tasks are exactly what local Seattle heating specialist thought he was going to do when called on a typical house call, but what he got was something he'll remember for a lifetime.

"I was out on a routine house call to fix someone's heating system in foothills of Mount Rainier", said John Cavalier. "I just expected it to be one of those jobs where I fixed the heat, and went about my day, but it wasn't like that at all."

While walking outside to examine the home's existing structure, Cavalier thought he saw a mysterious shadow in the woods. The shadow was moving the tree branches aside, and it appeared to be whispering something that Cavalier couldn't make out.

"Mr. Cavalier came running into the house, and I knew instantly something was wrong", said homeowner Sophia Lauren. "He was white as a ghost. I tell ya. He asked me if I'd ever seen anything in the woods, which I hadn't, and asked if I was interested in exploring with him to see what was hiding in the woods."

Together Sophia Lauren and John Cavalier started walking towards the woods. The two were accompanied by Sophia Laruen's two dogs and a shotgun. The real shock came when the source of the shadow appeared.

"The thing looked like a huge hairy ape," said Cavalier. "It looked like a cross between a human and an ape, and it was making these weird almost human-like sounds. It passed us a picnic basket and ran."

Local veterinarian Joel Powells believes that what Laruen and Cavalier encountered was some type of Sasquatch species. The Sasquatch is believed to be native to the Mount Rainer region, but very few people have encountered these creatures.

"It appears as if Mr. Cavalier and Ms. Lauren ran into one of the area's first encounters with a Sasquatch," said Powells. "The Sasquatch probably borrowed a picnic basket from a neighbor, and was using it as a universal friendly gesture so they knew he meant no harm."

The discovery of a documented case of a Sasquatch has brought thousands of potential Sasquatch Hunters to the area in hopes of having their own encounter with the Sasquatch. No further incidents have been reported.
