The team headed into their home opener on a 2 game winning streak on the road. It was the White Sox 5th consecutive home opener Win which is why they are the sox side's favorites. The parking lots were filled with Chicago Coach Buses and fans pre-game tailgating.
The bean bag games and grills were out in full force. Chicago style hot dogs at the ready for the ball park experience. The smell of burgers, steaks and victory in the air. Chicago's fans know how to tailgate and the limo and Chicago coach buses boom with music and drinks on their mini wet bars to add to the overall tailgating experiences. Veteran Paul Konerko said he still gets butterflies every time he heads into a home opener. Cork and Kerry on 105th and Western Ave actually did their own Chicago coach bus pre-game pub crawl form their Beverly location to their new location on 35th St. to grab some food and drinks before they went to the game for the highlight of their day.
