(prHWY.com) May 1, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA -- A lot of new changes and surprises marked the year 2012. One of these new exciting surprises was the release of the new models of compact crossbow models built for speed by Horton Archery. They released two new models called Havoc and Fury early these year which promises power, speed and stealth like no other.
The Havoc is the innovation patterned from the older Horton Vision. It is smaller than the Fury, measuring at around 34.5 inches in length and weighing around 175 pounds. The Havoc has a firing power of up to 325 feet per second. This bow will sell around $699.99, as per MSRP posted on the Horton site.
On the other hand, the Fury is slightly bigger than the Havoc, measuring up to 35.25 inches and weighing 160 pounds. This packs more power than the Havoc, with a firing speed of 360 feet per second. An added feature for the Fury is the Viper X strings with integrated stumper arms. These strings mute the sound made when shooting arrows from the
Horton Crossbow, adding more stealth to the design. The price posted for this bow in the Horton site is around $899.99
Both Havoc and Fury were built with the Reverse Draw Technology and compact design. Both have the precision computer numerical control cams and optimized limbs to get optimal speed to the
Horton Crossbows. Also, they are fitted with lightweight barrel and machined riser for added accuracy and balance.
For added safety, both the Havoc and the Fury are built with the anti-dry fire mechanism. Dry firing means shooting without arrows. Though no actual arrows are fired, this can be dangerous to the hunter as the taut string can cut you or worse, break a finger or two in the process. Also, dry firing the bow will give an ugly resounding sound and may cause the string to snap in the long run. With the anti-dry firing mechanisms, it will ensure both your bow's safety and yours.
Other common features are the computer numerical control Picatinny rail sight bridge and interchangeable recoil pads. Whether you purchase the Havor or the Fury, each package will include its own RDT cocking sled, an Arachnic BLK 5-arrow quiver, a 4x32 Multi-A-Range Scope and three high performance arrows for free.
With all these features, a lot of crossbow fans are eagerly waiting the shipping dates for both bows so they can test and feel the hard-packed power and speed both bows promise.
